Kolej Laila Taib has officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to establish a collaboration with Kolej Komuniti Miri. This significant partnership was formalized during the “Festival Terbuka Kolej Komuniti Miri,” held on October 6, 2024. The MOU marks a new chapter in fostering educational cooperation between the two institutions, aimed at enriching academic opportunities and enhancing student development through shared resources and expertise.
The following day, the Interior Architecture Department of Kolej Laila Taib (KLT) held a productive management meeting with the leadership team of Kolej Komuniti Miri to explore potential program mapping between the institutions. During the session, KLT’s Marketing Manager, Madam Devebra, formally announced to Kolej Komuniti Miri’s management the availability of the 100% Laila Taib Scholarship, offered to certificate students who graduate with a CGPA of 3.70 or higher. This is in addition to the 100% Laila Taib Bursary for students from a household income of B40.
Additionally, an interactive session was organized with students from the Certificate in Interior Design program at Kolej Komuniti Miri. The event not only aimed to broaden their knowledge of the interior design industry but also provided insights into the student experience at KLT. Four alumni of Kolej Komuniti Miri, who are now pursuing their studies at KLT, were invited to share their personal journeys and experiences, offering valuable perspectives on academic life and opportunities at KLT.
