Kolej Laila Taib (KLT) officially become one of Sarawak Teacher’s Union (STU) merchant partner. Mr Yong Sie Hing, the president of STU for Sibu Zone visited KLT to mark the official partnership.
STU was formed in 1965 as main channel for teachers to negotiate from a position of unity and strength. Currently, the union have 6 branches all over Sarawak including one in Sibu with almost 30 thousand member.
KLT is a Sarawak state owned college located in the Swan City, Sibu, Sarawak. The institution is offering technical diploma programme namely; Diploma in Accounting, Diploma in Business Management, Diploma in Architecture, Diploma in Civil Engineering, Diploma in Electrical & Electronic Engineering and Diploma in Quantity Surveying.
KLT offer up to 100% scholarship to cover programme fee and up to 50% scholarship for hostel fee for SARAWAKIAN student. For STU member, their children will be given another 10% fee waiver for the first semester hostel fee, make it only RM480 hostel fee (Single room) for the first semester.
With the mission to educate students for technical professional roles in order to meet the manpower requirement for Sarawak state, we hope to deliver the message throughout Sarawak better through STU member.
